Teachers TV ‘Media literacy – the teenagers’ (KS4)
A group of KS4 students share their experiences of the internet, games, TV and other media in this 15 minute programme.
The figures (from Ofcom) speak for themselves:
- There are 16.8 million home broadband connections in the UK
- 40 per cent of adults in the UK have a social networking profile
- An average of 111 text messages are sent from each mobile each month in the UK
- 70 per cent of 12 to 15 year olds and one in five 8 to 11 year olds in the UK have a social networking profile
- Almost three-quarters of 8 to 15 year olds have a games console in their bedroom
