How can I educate my students about acceptable and responsible behaviour on the internet and their mobiles?
The digital world is an exciting new place where your students can communicate with friends, express themselves, create content and much more.
But you need to be aware that young people often behave differently on the internet or on their mobile and say things that they wouldn't say in the real world.
"Children born in the 90s, who have always had access to network technologies, experience information, friendship and privacy differently from their parents" - Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media speaking at the
Safer Internet Forum, September 2008.
It's crucial that you help them to understand what is acceptable and responsible behaviour - and what is not - in the digital world.
